There will be goodie bags for participating spinners. Don’t worry if you can’t bring your wheel, there will be extra spinning wheels and carders to use for the spin in.
Bring a yummy dish to share at the lunch pot luck. The apple tree is full and needs to be picked, so bring a bag and take home some fresh apples.

I’ve been getting ready for my last fair of the year. I can’t believe this is our third year!
It’s just getting better and better. We have a great group of artists coming to share and sell their crafts. This year Sha Sha Higby will be join us with her interesting art work. If you haven’t see her work before, please check her website. It’s pretty interesting. Here is a “small sample” of what she is about:
The fair will be held the same day as the Bolinas Craft Fair, so, if you live near by you can visit both fairs the same day and meet interesting people. There is also a great exhibition at the Bolinas Gallery going on. Plenty to see here in Bolinas. Oh, yes… Very important. We will have delicious Mexican food that my friend Jose will be cooking and offering for sale for those that are hungry.
See you soon!
Fall is here again and Mimi Luebberman is hosting once again her Fiber Fest! Please mark your calendar. I think this makes it the Forth Annual Fiber Fest! I will be doing a small felting demo at 1:30 pm. Bring your spinning wheel or something to knit if you wish. Is always nice to have a spinning circle there.
I spent last weekend vending at the Dixon Fiber Festival.
It was hot, hot, hot. I guess I’m getting used to the cool weather of the coast. I was glad that the AC was on all the time, so it wasn’t bad at all. Well, except when it was time to go home. We drove with the sun blasting in front of us most of the way back and my old beat up truck doesn’t provide anything else other that move my precious body from one place to another without any of the amenities that newer cars can provide. Little price to pay for having so much fun. What do you think about this guy?
I got to see my first Teeswater ram. I was surprised at how big they are. It’s such a beautiful sheep. It was nice to meet Natalie Redding of Namaste Farm and of course I had to get some of her colorful wool that she had for sale. It will be eventually mixed with some angora that I purchased from the booth across from her.
Now I have to get ready for Mimi’s Fair and I hope that the sunshine stays put this week. See you later!!
I feel such a dummy! I had my felting workshop at WindRush Farm yesterday and everything went uneventful. Mimi was very generous to let me teach my first workshop at her beautiful farm. I had a great time teaching nuno felting and everyone had a great time. But… the whole time I was shooting pictures was useless because I forgot to put the memory card into my camera!
I did take one picture with the Ipad, but I’m still so bummed. Oh, well, lesson learn to ALWAYS check the camera before leaving home.
I’ve been also busy attending fairs (and dyeing in between) which is also a lot of fun. The First Fiber and Wool Festival held at Valley Ford was a total success and Mimi’s Fair at Windrush Farm is always exciting.
And the Spinners Day at the Farm in Sebastopol was a mellow and nice event. My friend Gina and I decided to set up the booth under a tree and enjoy the day hanging out with the spinners and the other vendors.
Today I will be decompressing a little and indulge with some Chocolate.
See you soon!
